Improving Visual Feedback for Bought Together Upsell Section

Hi Guys! im new here and new to replo. I am playing around with this upsell bought together section but it does not flow too great. when the button is clicked it adds the product to cart fine but there is no way for the customer to know it has been added. No color change or animation is working. A visual toggle maybe would work nicer but could not find out how to make that work. Any pointers or tutorials i could follow would be a great help. Thanks!
