Get Parent State for Containers in Your Project

How do I get a parent State for my containers? I somehow have one for Container Jar, but Can't get one for Container Jar 2. I am having the hardest time having the pricing and quanitity be effected from One-time purchase and subscribe purchase. I am trying to have the text field inside the container to change based on if they click one time purchase and subscribe and I can't get the states to work properly.
